A dark power has risen out of the Aegean.
Perverting the ancient technologies given them by the gods into a high-tech war machine, the people of Kaptara sweep all who stand against them into the sea, leaving destruction and despair in their wake. Brought to their knees by the bronze fist of the Kaptari, the once proud city of Athens has been forced into submission, and now must pay the ultimate price for their continued survival: a yearly blood offering of seven youths and seven maidens. Each Spring, these fourteen are chosen by lot and sent to Kaptara as a sacrifice to the ravenous Kaptari god. The Earthshaker. The Great Bull of Heaven.
Now, pushed past the point of caution by the suffering of his people, Theseus, the Crown Prince of Athens, takes his place among the offering. Armed only with his father’s sword, Theseus plans to lead his people against those who would enslave them. But a shadowy secret lies hidden beneath the soil of Kaptara. A curse placed upon the royal house of Minos has instead been hailed as a god, and as they wander the dark, ever-changing halls of the Labyrinth, it is this bloodthirsty abomination that hunts the Athenians: neither fully man, nor beast, nor god, but all three in one. The Minotaur. The curse of mighty Kaptara. And the seed of its doom.
